Ms. Sheila Stess Schechtman, the niece of Candidate Steskovitz, was kind enough to update us on her Uncle. The following information was received from her:

Candidate Steskovitz changed his name later in life to Ira Zu Stess. During WWII he was a prisoner of war at Gross-Rosen and was shot in the arm. He is buried at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Iselin, NJ.
